Kasthuri Breeding Farms is a member of the Broiler Co-ordination Committee, a local multi-stakeholder body in Palladam that organises, regulates, and supports the region's broiler (meat chicken) industry.
Operational Coordination
Synchronises production schedules among contract farmers, hatcheries, feed mills, and processors to stabilise supply and avoid gluts or shortages. Coordinates broiler collection, transport routing, and shared use of infrastructure such as weighing stations, cold rooms, and lairage.
Price Discovery & Market Linkage
Collects and disseminates daily price, demand, and arrival data to keep farmers and traders informed. Mediates between producers and buyers to negotiate volumes and terms, and organises periodic auctions or centralised marketing windows.
Quality, Biosecurity & Technical Extension
Promotes standard rearing practices, vaccination schedules, and feed formulations to raise uniformity and meat quality. Runs training and awareness drives on biosecurity and disease reporting, and helps implement traceability and certification measures.
Regulation, Dispute Resolution & Representation
Acts as an industry forum to resolve disputes over payments, contract terms, and quality claims. Represents Palladam's broiler stakeholders with district and state authorities, and coordinates emergency responses to disease outbreaks or transport restrictions.
Together, these functions reduce transaction costs and price volatility, improve animal health and product consistency, and strengthen the bargaining position of growers — helping Palladam function as a high-volume, efficient broiler hub.
